I'm STILL In

Now, Lord, consider their threats, enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.  Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus."  After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.’

Acts 4:29-31

The Early Church in the book of Acts is a sort of Camelot—‘The Summer Kingdom, where everything is as it should be, days are warm and bright, and all is well.’

Everything they touched just worked. There were even stories of people healed when Peter’s shadow fell across them. But it didn’t take long for jealousy, threats, and persecution to darken the door of the young church. Stephen was even martyred for the faith.

At some point the question “Are you in?” yields to the question, “Are you STILL in, even if the going gets tough?”

That’s what we want to explore as we worship this Sunday. The promise of God is true, but sometimes it leads through some pretty deep valleys.

Read Acts 3-9 along with this message. Pray through these three questions.

·        How is God at work in you/us? GOOD Stuff

·        What is God preparing you/us for? HARD Stuff?

·        Are you STILL in?

We want you to think seriously about your relationship with Jesus, your commitment to growing in the faith, your place with other believers, your gifts, and how you will give back.

I LOVE Being Your Pastor!
