I lift up my eyes to the hills-- where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1-2
One of my all-time favorite book titles is Eugene Peterson’s “A Long Obedience in the Same Direction.” It describes the life I long for as a Christ-follower.
The book is a study of the Pilgrim Psalms, 120-134. It speaks of being on my life’s journey with Jesus.
Three times each year, God’s people were called to make a pilgrimage to Jerusalem—to re-set, and reconnect with God, and with their fellow pilgrims.
How good and pleasant it is when God’s people dwell together in unity! (Psalm 133:1)
