  • GriefShare

    GriefShare is a time for small group video and discussion for those who have experienced loss. This group meets Wednesday nights (while in session) at 6pm on the First Baptist campus. Those interested can jump in whenever they feel ready. To learn more, find our group on the website or email

  • Budget Mentoring

    Regardless of your amount of income, if you don't budget you will probably come up short.  Budget Mentoring is a process of setting goals & evaluating what your resources and needs are. FBC believes we are best equipped to help each other through ongoing relationships, so we meet regularly to work toward those goals.  To learn more, set up an appointment by contacting or call 816-858-2018.

  • Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS)

    Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is hosted at FBC on the 2nd Friday of each month during the school year from 9:30 to 11:30 with childcare and brunch provided. Small Group & Events are hosted throughout the month.  Registration is required.

  • Compassion Ministries

  • Strong Families

    Strong Families is an opportunity for families to share a meal and then participate in parenting classes while children and youth participate in a program to learn life skills. Meals and Childcare are provided by local churches. To inquire about being referred or volunteer opportunities, email

  • Nursing Home Ministry

    Every week, FBC hosts a worship service at a local nursing home.  This gathering occurs at 9:30am on Sunday mornings at Heritage Village.  If you are interesting in participating as a volunteer, contact

  • Meal Train

    Meal Train is an email distribution list that allows volunteers to provide a meal for those who are struggling with illness or have welcomed a new baby.  Email to join the email group or request meals for someone.

  • Serve Team

    FBC values opportunities to stand in the gap for those who are hurting and in need.  One of the ways we respond is through the Serve Team.  The Serve Team receives requests for assistance from public agencies and responds in tangible ways to help families in our community.  Email to sign up.
