Ongoing Ministries

These ongoing ministries are hosted for our community and anyone is welcome.  Contact us with any questions.

  • Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ centered program that gives people the resources and relationships to help recover from life's hurts, habits, and hang-ups. This is a program for anyone struggling with past or current dysfunctions or compulsions, whether they are affecting their own life or the lives of those around them. The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the Eight Recovery Principles found in the Beatitudes and Christ-Centered Twelve Steps. As we progress through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power Jesus Christ, the one and only true Higher Power.

We meet Mondays, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in The Gathering Place on the FBC Campus.  For more information, contact or call 816-858-2018.

  • GriefShare

GriefShare is a time for small group video and discussion for those who have experienced loss. This group meets every Thursday night at 6:30pm in the Education Building on the First Baptist campus. Those interested can jump in whenever they feel ready. To learn more, find our group on website or email Tammy.

  • Budget Mentoring

Regardless of your amount of income, if you don't budget you will probably come up short.  Budget Mentoring is a process of setting goals & evaluating what your resources and needs are.
