How do you know God is real?

"Even though I am trained in science (hypotheses tested by evidence), I feel I have been blessed with an ability to counter that approach via 'wonder'. The existence of God cannot be 'proven' in a scientific sense, and because of that many people will not believe. But I feel God granted us the curiosity to learn about his creation, and to understand (even if only a little bit) how it operates. 'Order' in the heavens is compelling. I cannot accept that all that we can sense around us happened 'by chance'. The Bible's simple yet powerful statement about how this all came to be ("In The Beginning God...") is consistent with "order" in the heavens beyond our ability to grasp. My own view is that God desires us to infer his existence, and then trust in that."
